Syrian Arab army eliminates 7 ringleaders outside Damascus, Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of the armed forces have eliminated several terrorist ringleaders and gangsters nationwide. Here's a round-up of today's main developments:

In Damascus countryside: -The armed forces killed four terrorist ringleaders and their gangsters during qualitative operations in Doma suburb, quarters of Barzeh, Jobar, and al-Qabon (north of Damascus countryside) as well as al-Nabk area. - They also foiled a bid of the terrorists to detonate nine booby-traps planted in the surrounding of al-Iman Mosque in Harasta suburb. -Three terrorists perished as the armed forces pounded a hideout of the terrorists in Erbin area. -A 23 mm anti-aircraft gun was destroyed in Adra suburb. -Operations of the army continued in the farms and towns of the Eastern Ghouta.

Outside Idilb province: - Terrorists from chechnya were killed when the armed forces targeted a terrorist grouping in Maaretmesrin area.

In the central Homs Province: -Competent authorities crushed many terrorists and seized three vehicles, two of them were with machine gun, in an ambush near al-Sekkareyeh town outside Palmyra. -Various types of weapons were confiscated during a mopping-up operation in Jabal Ghalyon quarter in TalKhalkh city (north-west of al-Qusayr) outside the province. -Several terrorists were killed and weapons were destroyed near a sport club in al-Rastan city. -A hideout of terrorists was shelled near a swimming pool in Tal Dahab town in al-Holeh area.

Outside Hama province: -Many terrorists from al-Nusra Front were liquidated in towns of al-Thlejeh, al-Fatrawi, Rasm al-Teneh, Rasm al-ward, and al-Jezdaneyeh.

In southern Daraa province: -The armed forces took control of buildings near the national hospital, head offices of the social insurance branch, and the surrounding of Abdulaziz Mosque in the city after crushing big number of terrorists including three ringleaders. - Pursuit of the terrorist groups in Daraa al-Balad, and town of al-Shabraq, al-Mzer'a, al-Naf'a, Hit, Sahm al-Golan, and Jnin was underway. A sniper was killed in the pursuit .confrontation of terrorist attacks on several garrisons. -A hideout of an armed terrorist group was wiped out in Kerbet Hamman village.

Syrian Troops Continue Crackdown on Rebels in Damascus Outskirts

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Armed Forces killed a number of insurgents, including non-Syrian ones in a series of military operations carried out against their dens and gatherings in Harasta, Erbin, Douma, Joubar and Barzeh in Damascus and its Countryside.

The army destroyed a 23mm caliber anti-aircraft gun in Erbin and killed several rebels, including Ammar al-Qarsa and Salah Ghanoum, an official military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency.

An army unit killed Khaled Taha, the leader of a terrorist group, and members of his group, including Mouhanad Habash in a special operation in al-Obb farms in Douma.

The army units also killed scores of rebels in al-Bayder neighborhood in Harasta city, including the Saudi Othman al-Assyri, Sami al-Haswa and Muwafaq Eyoun in Bastara farms between Douma and Harasta.

Meanwhile, other army units continued operations against anti-government fighters' dens and gatherings in Barzeh neighborhood in Damascus and the farms surrounding it, confiscating weapons and ammunition and killing several fighters, including Naser al-Haboul and Masoud al-Drei.

Some other forces of the army targeted several members of a terrorist group in the town of al-Rihan in Douma area, the source said, adding that Mohammad al-Farran was among the killed members of the group.

Several members of al-Nusra Front were killed or wounded in an operation by the Armed Forces near a detergents factory in Adra area. Raef Ta'ma and Bassem al-Hussein were identified among the dead fighters.

Other units of the army continued their operations in the farms around the towns of al-Qasimiye and al-Zemaniye, inflicting heavy losses upon anti-government fighters

Syrian armed forces clashed with armed terrorist groups in Barzeh and the farms surrounding it, killing and injuring a number of terrorists.

An official source told SANA reporter that the clash resulted in killing and injuring a number of terrorists.

Munib Shaleh, the leader of one of the armed terrorist groups, Mazen al-Masri, and Libyan terrorist Omar Obeid al-Jasem were identified among the dead.

The source added that the army restored stability and security to the whole area of al-Mestah in Barzeh, killing a number of terrorists.

The source said that a unit of the Syrian armed forces clashed with armed terrorist groups while trying to be localized in the area surrounding Tishreen Hospital in order to attack the hospital and the adjacent residential neighborhoods.

The Syrian army unit killed a big number of the terrorist groups’ members.

Two Booby-Trapped Cars Detonated in Homs Countruyside

Two suicide terrorists detonated two booby-trapped cars near the blankets factory on al-Mesherfeh -Homs road and near Souk al-Ghanam on Homs-Salameih road, causing the killing of a number of citizens and the injury of others.

An official source in the province told SANA reporter that the two terrorist explosions caused the martyrdom of 4 citizens and the injury of 13 others and big material damages in the sites .

In the framework of targeting the infrastructure, terrorists belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra fired mortar shells on Mhardeh electricity generation plant in Hama countryside.

A military source said that the terrorist attack caused fire in the plant, asserting that the firefighters team managed to extinguish the fire.

The source added that units of the armed forces killed a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra in Halfaya town in Hama countryside and destroyed a rocket launcher and heavy machineguns.

The source said that terrorists’ attempt to detonate scores of explosive devices with various weighs planted on the roads leading to Halfaya town was foiled.

Army Seizes Israeli-Made Rocket, Eliminates Terrorists in Homs and Idleb

A unit of the armed forces seized an Israeli-made LAO rocket and amounts of machineguns and ammunitions which the terrorists were using to terrify the citizens and cut the roads on Homs-Palmyra highway.

An official source told SANA reporter that a unit of the armed forces clashed with an armed terrorist group in al-Rayan area on Homs-Palmyra highway, killing and injuring a number of its members and seized an Israeli- made LAO rocket, two BKC machineguns, two sniper rifles and 11 boxes of ammunitions.

In Idleb, a military source said that units of the army destroyed terrorists’ hideouts in Mishmishan, Beshlamoon, Ein al-Bardeh, Ein al-Qasab in Jisr al-Shughour countryside.

The source added that a number of terrorists were killed and injured in the villages of Taftanaz, Maarat Misrin, al-Habbat, Buhura, and Kafr Takharim and their weapons were seized.

Gunmen headquarters in the area of Barzeh al-Balad and especially near al-Salam mosque have been hit mostly, with the remaining of some snipers are being targeted one after the other, for the army progress to be in the fastest shape and including the specific plan.

The source adds that two headquarters of the insurgents consider the weapon warehouses and the centers of gunmen gathering were hit near the fuel station of al-Nuzha and killed all who were inside it, for the absolute control on the course of events to be in the hands of the Syrian Arab Army in Barzeh al-Balad, with field expectations for the oncoming of military operations through days.
