Syrian Troops Continue Military Operations against Rebels in Several Areas

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Armed Forces, in a series of successful operations on Thursday, inflicted heavy losses upon armed groups in Saqba, Adra al-Balad and al-Nabek in Damascus countryside, killing and wounding several antigovernment fighters there.

An army unit destroyed insurgents' gatherings and dens in Hajira town, killing a number of fighters, including Ziad al-Buka'e, Mohammad Rouh and a Tunisian terrorist Abu Hafs, a military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency.

The source added that another army unit clashed with an armed group in Saqba, killing and wounding a large number of its members.

Abdul Karim al-Khatib and another four rebels also were killed while assembling explosive devices.

In Adra al-Balad and its outskirts several dens belonged to the rebels were destroyed by the army units.

So many antigovernment fighters were killed and wounded in al-Nabek in the Syrian troops' crackdown.
