Tartus will remain the supportive point for Russian vessels-Russia Military source

Military diplomatic source announces in an agreement have done in bilateral talks with the Lebanese side about the possibility of enter of the Russian Navy ships to the port of Beirut, But the Syrian Port Tartus will remain the military and the technical supportive point for these vessels

The source says that “an agreement took place between Russia and Lebanon about the possibility of interring the Russian War ships to Beirut’s port for work purposes".

The source adds that the visit of the Russian port of Beirut has become possible thanks to the agreements that have been reached in advance, noting that the Russian ship visits will never be free

At the same time, the source emphasizes that “we do not mean by this agreement to abandon of the center of the material and the technical supportive port “Tartus” or to look for new point in the Mediterranean Sea for the stationing the Russian vessels”, stressing that Tartus will remain the point of stationing the Russian Navy ships.
