Syrian army liberates Aleppo Hama highway

The Syrian army has liberated the highway between the cities of Hama and Aleppo. As a result of military operations the threat of attacks on Aleppo International Airport and the Air Force Base in Neirab, as well as a defense industry factory in Sfeir has been eliminated.

Military reinforcements are redeployed along the highway to the northeast of the country.

According to the TV station "Al-Manar" heavy fighting continues in the settlements of Farusiya and Meshleb where the Syrian army has set up roadblocks.

All sides are suffering losses with unofficial reports saying dozens of soldiers as well as rebels have been killed or wounded.
